One Frenchman Going Cheap...

I saw this on Black And White And Read All Over and coldn't resist posting it here to. Of course, what is really worrying is that someone believes that Laurent Robert is worth 6 million (and counting).

Revelations

Finally, the reasons behind England's recent poor performances (Poland aside) have emerged. However, it's not Sven's tactics or Rooney's impetousness, instead esteemed German news magazine "Spiegel" has revealed that Rio (who else) has complained that Becks' taste in music is the source of all the problems. Admittedly, this news comes via "Nuts" so perhaps it should be taken with a shovelful of salt.

Beckham's choice of Robbie Williams, David Blunt and R&B isn't quite hard enough for Mr Forgetful, who would rather hear something a but more aggressive ("hip-hop or garage" for those of you who are interested) before the team go out to play. If someone can persuade Slayer to record the next World Cup single then we'll be well on our way come next summer.

Yin And Yang

A question: If David Beckham is being punished for his "good looks", then surely Iain Dowie should have led Crystal Palace to the treble by now?

The Curse Of The Yeti

Whoops. I put my laptop to one side and suddenly a few weeks have gone by. England have qualified for the World Cup while a hundred tabloid journalists dream of what could've been, the boring/exciting (depending on which day it happens to be) Chelsea remain unbeatable...and Arsenal have won an away game in Europe. It's a crazy world.

Meanwhile, Real haven't quite given up unsettling Gooners. With Pat now at Juve (much to the apparent disappointment of Thierry), Madrid are reportedly eyeing up Ashley. Nevertheless, Arsene's problems are nothing compared to those of Mr Souness, who will almost certainly be receiving his P45 come Monday morning if Newcastle lose to Sunderland at the weekend.

And on a final note, consider whether this is a man who takes drugs?

The Boy Is Keen

...or maybe he's just plain stupid. Rio turns up for training. On a training-free day. Perhaps he really did forget to take that drugs test.

It Makes You Feel Ashamed To Be An England Fan...

...when people vandalise the manager's home. No doubt it was some cretin with nothing better to do. Sven may have his critics and his England team may have produced a few poor recent performances, but he still doesn't deserve a brick through his window.

It's strange that other previous consistantly more hopeless managers such as Keegan and Taylor managed to avoid such treatment. Surely it's not because Sven is a Johnny Foreigner?
